HP Calculator Book Covers

I'm including in this Section the covers of a selection of the manuals, books, and other documents from my own personal library. Why just the covers and not the whole books? Well, you can get the complete books (covers and all) for free in the best possible quality from Eric Rechlin's HP Literature site, so there's no need to have them here. Also, making available just the covers has its own merits, namely:

      (a)  Sharing with everyone what books I use to learn and to create all my materials you see in this site (articles, programs, challenges).
      (b)  You can see the cover and read the text in the back cover to quickly see what the book is about, what interesting things it contains.
      (c)  You can then make an informed decision on whether you want to obtain the book or not.
      (d)  If yes, visit Eric's HP Literature site and download the book for free (if available, of course). Or click the direct link given here.
      (e)  Last but not least, downloading just the covers from here is much quicker than downloading the whole book from there.

That's value enough to me. Think of it as a display of what's in my own collection, my own references, which you can then obtain and use to enhance yours.

All PDFs here include hi-res scans of both front and back cover (sometimes just the front cover, when the back cover is blank or has no useful info) and occasionally also miscellaneous items, such as the Quick Reference Guide, cards with diverse info supplied by the manufacturer (warranty, caveats, errata, etc.) and at times even the calc's box !

Collectors, and anyone interested in Hewlett-Packard handhelds, will find this a useful and fascinating guide. Starting with the HP-35, all calculators, computers and the HP-01 watch, are listed and described. A set of colour photographs complements the text and underlines developments from the early models to the present range.

2007 Calendar of HP Personal Calculators - Celebrating 35 Years 1972 — 2007

September 2007 through December 2008. The general theme of Celebrating 35 Years of HP Calculators was used for the 2007 portion of the calendar. The 2008 portion followed a theme of ordering all of HP’s calculators into 12 groups/series and presenting them in time order with each month.

[...] Extensive research was required to determine the date of announcement for many models. Most questions indicated in the 2008 version have been resolved. Some cancelled models (machines manufactured, manuals printed,etc.) are so well known that they had to be included. Recent machines are more easily prototyped and one of these is also included. Some dates were determined from the shows where they were announced.

The penultimate calendar page shows all of HP’s calculators from the HP-35A to the three new machines announced at CES on January 7, 2009.
